Collaboration is also a chance for all photographers to learn new things - try new tricks of the their own trade, try out techniques that they are working to perfect or dabble into a new medium all together.
Shooting with Emily Saenz (@emilyilluminate) was the epitome of collaboration. There were many days leading up to our time shooting together that we spent asking each other questions, showing each other images that we wanted to try out and mutually agreeing that we could be productive and innovative all in one with our time together. Emily has not shot much mens fashion, but shoots womens fashion here and there. Her specialty is portraits of families, friends and weddings.
Recently, some of Emily's images were featured on many blogs and magazines for her engagement shoot with her sister Katie. (Link here)
I was looking to capture some lifestyle images for my book - also some images with that genuine Cory smile that everyone has been asking me to see! Emily did an incredible job with these images and I couldn't be more energized after shooting with her. She brings out the best in the people she is with, inspiring creativity, joy and passion in all of her clients. I had an amazing time capturing these images and don't fret, this isn't even half of the images we captured. I will be spreading out some posts with these images to keep you in suspense!
The grind continues. CMT
